2013 Modern GT Enduro

Hi Guys,
               Friday the 2nd of August will be the Date for our next Enduro which will be Modern GT as we have now had some time to get on top of our GT cars so they should provide a great racing experience, this race will be a timed race and will either be 3 hour or a 3.5 hour depending what you guys want. Teams will be a random draw like the last few enduros, and they will be no restrictions on what tyre choices are available unlike the nascar enduro which had to be a controlled tyre and car setup and i wont be requesting the cars for inspection like i did for the nascar enduro, the only thing i do request that the car lap speed does not go below a laptime of around 11.9 sec just to make sure the cars are close to equal laptime as this makes a much more enjoyable race for everybody involved. Once again you really need to be nominated the fortnight before this race as the teams will be drawn 2 weeks before the race so teams do have time to practice with cars or discuss raceplans, and can hope to do the 3 driver per team thing again which i think will be possible again with the numbers we have been getting lately to get at least 5 teams of 3 drivers or we might even be able to get a full field of 6 cars with 3 drivers now that would be great. Because a Veyron is not a GT for a start and also has no number or livery its a street version. But like i said its just not a GT car

Porsche 911GT3 (Can be found very cheap on Ebay UK)
Ferrari F430 GT
Ford GT (Modern Ford GT not Classic Ford GT)
Dodge Viper
all of these are made by Scaley and most are DPR and are not the only ones allowed this is just off the top of my head but if you are willing to play with other brands like Carrera and Ninco there is a bit more variety like BMW's and a few other makes ect, but it can be a bit pot luck with other brands to see if they are close to competitive out of the box with the Scaley cars but that is up to the individual person

No definitely not as it has no interior or lights or race livery, if you are looking at doing a repaint here is a cheap one but like I said it need repainting in a race livery

This is only a few racemeets away now and we have 12 drivers nominated so far, and the teams will be decided the racemeet 2 weeks before the enduro

We are at 13 drivers atm it would be nice if we can get at least 15 or 18 so we can do the 3 drivers per team going like last enduro

Cheers Bruce you are now on the list. We currently have 15 so that give us at least 5 teams of 3 drivers hopefully we can get 3 more drivers to fill the grid to capacity

Josh i have a Audi R8 or a Dodge Viper that your most welcome to borrow off me if you don't have a Modern Gt car by the time the Enduro comes around. I will not be there for the Enduro so you can hold onto it until i get there for the next race meet.

Have already had some of the teams testing over the weekend and we now have 3 cars ready to roll and all 3 cars are very equal and close to the fastest lap limit so this starting to look as if its going be as tight as the Nascar Enduro and being the Nascar Enduro was 800 laps and just fell short of 3 hours I will make this one 900 laps and the cost will be $10 for this event the extra $5 will go towards paying for the medallions and the first post has been edited to show the teams and 3 cars so far
