just to follow on from last night discussion. After some had left I suggested we run classes which we had run this year and for whioch most people already have cars. V8s Nascar, Classics and GTs. To this we add one class in the first half of the year. Impact resistant (Start) F1's seemed to be the class spoken about most. Then we could talk about adding a second new class later in the year, perhaps Porsche.

Another though would be to have a 'run what you brung' class limited by manufacturer. So we could have scaley, carrers, scx, slot.it/racer.

I Agree, with all of what you are saying. I belive we should still race our v8s, gts, nascars etc and also for a new class those F1 scaley start sets which for those who dont know can be purchased on ebay for 50 and it includes 2 cars. It would still be nice if others can post here and also let us all know what they all prefer in order to see what people are thinking maybe even starting a poll.

Sounds good to me i like the way the crash proof F1's drive and should help promote fun racing and is basically a 1 make class because all the cars are exactly the same. I might in the future look at setting up a poll widget for this forum but for this topic atm anyone can just post in this thread their thoughts

All we need now is to get others to add their thoughts. I wondered - and this is just an idea - if next race meet we could tell them that this post is here and, based and the responses a decision will be made by the 22nd?

Basically the on a non enduro night the 1at class for the night was spoken about on Friday nite and everyone seemed in favor of just alternating from meet to meet with V8's and Nascars, with 4 short series run with them and the 2nd part of the night being dedicated to fun racing and utilizing the classics and GT's run this year, plus add on top all of the fly trucks we own and the gives us 3 classes to play with and like mentioned at the start of the year add the impact resistant F1's and look towards the end of the year adding a Porsche carrera cup (Scalextric Porsche 911 GT3 which can also be found rather cheap on UK Ebay and I have seen them under $50 with a chip already fitted plus this car can also be doubled up a very competitive car in the GT class). I would be happy to only see those 2 classes slowly introduced to help keep costs low and I already own heap of the Porsche's so do the guys that can't afford any they will still be able to race as I will have them all setup as loan cars and I will buy 4 impact resistant f1's over xmas so there will be spare cars available for those that don't own one.

We should run like real life BHP classes e.g. -150bhp, -250bhp etc
