Hi...

Bought a scalextric set for my son ... loved it, so does he, we play it ever day when I get home from work. He calls them Daddy's cars, something I need to stop or the wife will ban them!!!

Started buying more ... and more ... and more ... and now I question the value of having a car parked in a garage, so much space for a track.

Made many mistakes so far, loads of "start" track (it's slick, very solid and cheap ... even clever but limited), then bought classic thinking it would be a cheap way to get track (it was) but no where near as good as something new for playing with digital (so it wasn't).

Retro chips ... no mag F1's with old push pins ... no one mentioned their guide blades were shorter ... rar!!!!!

Now I have a ping pond table sized digital track (plastic). A bunch of random cars, and a bunch more sitting on my bench being converted to digital.

Hi ...

Lol Hi Obes.
That is pretty much the same way i started.  And good to see your into digital aswell. I will be able to help you with your digital journey. And if you dont live too far away you are welcome to come to our fortnightly racemeets, which are a barrel of laughs.

Boondall, so not that far.

At the moment my track is limited to living on a ping pong table but I have managed to fit a 11.5m (ave) track on it.

11.5m is not too bad, I started with a small oval that was lucky to be 3m and by the end of it ended up building a 30m plastic setup but then moved to Burpengary and then decided to do a routed digital, and if you are keen on any racemeets I will send you a pm with all the details, great fun bunch of guys that race here and it just seems to keep getting better atm.
