Ok that was a excellent night of racing with dramas that enduros tend to produce, with Trev qualifying for me and getting us pole for the start of the race well done mate. The race was running pretty smooth for the 1st hour with guys doing around half hour stints before pitting for fuel and changing drivers Danny and Chuck had a unlucky 1st stint with their car and ended up bout 50 laps off the pace and at around the hour mark Trev and myself had done a stint each and i was about 10 min into my 2nd stint with about a 6 lap lead over the field (The Bundy VE was Flying) and then out of the blue and the first time i have witnessed this in slotcars but the right rear tyre blew out and forced the bundy car off the track for a tyre change from that point on the Bundy car was not the same for the rest of the night but at least we got it home to the finish, same for the SP car with Trent and Glen they were charing hard in 2nd for the first half of the race when they stuck a few tyre dramas aswell. The Jim Beam guys had a tough start to the race with a tyre rubbing the guard and also some pinion slippage occured during their 2nd stint but managed to fix it and charged their way from 5th in the field to first and dominate the last parts of the race (well done guys). Matt and Hayden flew under the radar all night and had a car that worked flawlessly for the whole 3 hours and they just edged out Josh and Paul in the last laps of the race to hold on for 2nd. Josh and Paul were unlucky during the middle part of the race with a wheel coming loose on the Irwin car. I look forward to next years enduro but after last nite i am also looking forward to seeing how everyone performs in sprint round mode with the 5 round summer series kicking off in a fortnight, also stay keep and eye out in the next day or 2 for heaps of Photos and videos from the Enduro last nite.
