| Very nice turnout and some great close racing to start off 2018, with our special Australia Day Weekend event which was run on the Saturday. This allowed us to run 3 classes instead of our usual 2. The Evening was started off with us running GT3/GTE first to get our eye back in and we saw some ripper battles throughout. Then the 1st Round of the TCM Series was run and it just continued on from the GT class with more excellent racing, then to finish the night we broke out Group 5 for the first time in a while which showed as some of the cars were a little off pace and others took some races to get used to the extra torque that the Sideways cars have over a standard Scalextric car. Being that we run on a night that would not suit all our members it was great to see the amount that come over to race and to top it off the amount of people who have stepped up in pace which helped make for some ripper on track battles in my eyes bodes well for what is to come in 2018.
