Well for starters you can build bigger tracks when using digital because you dont need to build 3-6 lane tracks to accomodate more drivers as generally the more lanes you add the wider the track the more room it takes up. And plus when you know someone that has a digital setup they can tell you the do's and dont's. I would recommend though if you are wanting to race 6 cars at once that you would at least want a track with about 20m lane length to make racing fun imo

Hi Josh
I must agree with John.
I've had a plastic track & currently own a 3 lane routed track. But I recently purchased a 4 car digital & it's the best, even the kids prefer it over the others. My 6 year old only took a few laps to get the idea about changing lanes.
So for me if I had a choice again (& the cash) I'd go digital.

And i personally recommend the Scalextric APB 6 car powerbase as it also has analog pace cars ect, plus heaps of aftermarket goodies

I will talk to you about a 6 car APB conversion set and see how much you are going to pay as i might be able to get it cheaper for you depending on where you have looked into buying it from

I will advise you now that the 4 car powerbases are not that great and are normally only good for the 2nd power supply for the 6 car pb and maybe a 2nd pb to id the first 4 cars. There is no lap counting ortiming and also has major power issues. I know you can get them 4 car pbs dirt cheap but they imo hopeless. I can find some pretty cheap 6 car pbs on the net

Hey,

it is a average of 11.03m it is a fast flowing track (as I like fast tracks) so hope to get some comments of what you guys think.

Not a bad track to start out with but would get boring quick as it has no real technical sections, but hey thats just my opinion

Yeah I had something very similar for my first attempt back into slotcars back in 2008 but as soon as I started purchasing heaps of corners it made a huge difference. It does cost a lot of money though for the larger corners so it starts to add up a little, so it can take time but be patient it will get there
