Great days racing yesterday with the Slotworx Porsche Mini Enduro and V8 Supercar Enduro. The V8 Enduro was the main attraction and run over 4 hours. While i was prepared to be a little relaxed with the Porsches due to them being only 3 rounds old, but the V8's had a strict policy of 1 car per team and no backups and the cars performed flawless with all 5 cars running the Enduro with no failures of any sort which was fantastic for myself personally as i wasn't spending half my night fixing others cars and could just instead focus on racing and Marshalling. All cars were as fast at the finish if not faster than what they started the race, which was a hot pace as i was personally driving every stint at 100% qualifying pace.
At the end though Send It drivers Ryan Bull and Bruce Dobbin were too good with their consistency between the 2 of them outdid the rest of the field over 4 hours. They can now claim the right to being "King of the Mountain" for the next 12 months. 2nd place went to 888 which was Stephen Clarke and Scott Perrins who both drove a great race, While Sandman may have been team captain, Scott held his own with some great driving to score them a solid result. 3rd Place went to YEE HAH which was John Schultz and Mick Rush, this was a Fantastic result as John setup the car with a soft spring combo looking for a quick car through the technical section and while the car was a bullet it was probably a little more tricky for Mick to adjust too and he did a stellar job to man handle it for 4 hours, Jet also put in a stint early in the race. 4th Place went to ASS with Allan Rose, Sharon Douglas and Steve Dalton, these guys went into the race as one of the favorites with the Hungry Jacks car being the car to beat lately but a braid change right before the race seemed to affect the handling of the car and look a little harder to handle than the other cars most of the race. 5th went to BGT which consisted of Trent Powell, Ben Splint and Graham Splint. These guys did a fantastic job with their limited Slotworx experience by the end were right on the pace and if we had restarted the race again today they would have definately pushed for a podium and they are keen to team up again to come back for the next Enduro.
The Porsche mini Enduro was actually really close most of the race with guys only really spreading out over the last 20 min and 1 car failure due to myself using a chip in a car with a dodgy solder pad that broke loose which ive never had before in 12+ years of digital. Anyway Sandman and Scott drove from 8 laps down to win the 2 hour event. While 2nd went to Ryan and Bruce. 3rd went to Allan, Shaz and Steve. 4th went to John, Jet and Mick and 5th went to Trent, Graham and Ben who lost several laps from the broken solder pad.
Thanks to everyone who particpated and i look forward to the 2020 Slotworx V8 Enduro next October
