Great turnout For Round 7 of the Slotworx V8 series and Porsche Cup. 13 Drivers were on hand for Qualifying with 1st and 2nd split by 0.001 after 3 minutes and also having to have another race off for 4th and 5th in qualifying with Al and Mick getting the exact same lap time in Qualifying just like we saw last Sprint round with Sandman and Al. Another surprise was Toowoomba racer Wayne crack a 8.7 in Qualifying along with most of the field in the 8.7 range. The Heats were fantastic considering it had been close to a month since the cars have been raced in anger. Graham also made an apperance along with Rocket again and the Enduro has helped them alot with them both showing great car pace. Shaz was super fast in her heats and Mick was on fire in the B-main and looked unstoppable. Steve had a small issue at the end of the A-Final that robbed him of a couple of laps. Tristan was unlucky with car issues in the V8's plaging his races and was fast but unlucky in Porsches. In the end Sandman got the early jump from John after a guide issue cost John alot of time early in the race so Sandman had a comfortable gap most of the A-Final to take the Victory from John and Allan got 3rd after getting caught in a few incidents at the wrong time but did well to still grab 3rd and Bruce was consistent again getting 4th from Mick and then Steve. Porsches was just as fun with more insane heats and the Final was a fairly close affair most of the race as is was a little messy in the opening 10 laps to then settle down really well with Sandman grabbing 2 from 2 for the night. Then Josh got 2nd while pressuring Sandman most of the race with great car speed. Allan got 2 podiums for the night with 3rd Place and Steve 4th with a good solid race and Rocket 5th and Bruce 6th. Scotty (888) had a night to forget with no luck going his way at all.
