Awesome night of racing last Friday with 12 on hand for Round 7 of the Slotworx V8 Series and Round 3 of Lexan GT3. We started out with V8's and the heats were epic with some very close finishes. The Finals were just as great with another epic B-Final with a mega scrap for the final transfer to the A-Final. The A-Final did not dissapoint either with numerous guys a chance of winning the race by the halfway point. Unfortunately for Steve a braid issue robbed him of what was looking like at least a podium or possible win, but thats racing. But when the 60 laps were run and done, Sandman came away with the win from John and following closely in 3rd was Ryan. 2nd part of the night we ran Lexan GT3 and the racing in these cars for the little time we have had them running for is fantastic and cant wait to see what they are like once we have done a season of racing with them. The B-Final was very cool, and with Jet having his first proper racemeet he did not dissapoint by winning the B-Final and transferring to the A-Final. The A-Final was brilliant up front with 4 of the 6 cars really going at it, with Allan, Dan, Sandman and Jet going at it most of the race until a broken leadwire killed Dan's race in what was looking like a maiden podium for him. Sandman rode his luck through a late race crash to beat Allan who was looking the goods for the win most of the race but had to settle for 2nd and a fine drive by Jet who was also the fastest car in the race and he managed to nab 3rd at his first racemeet.
