Fun little racemeet on Friday with 7 Drivers taking part in the action. We started the night running the V8's and 5 of the 7 cars was sporting the new bodies, unfortunately only 1 was a ZB out of the new bodies so the Mustang was highly likey to win, but that will change with a few more ZB's currently being prepared. Due to the small driver count i chose to run an analog type format for the V8's which in the end wasn't quite as enjoyable as our normal format but we went with it anyway. In the end the Pentrite Mustang of John's was too strong with consistent fast lap times over the 4, 30 lap heats it was always going to be hard to beat. Sandman had a great handling ride and it served him well with 2nd place not far behond John. And 3rd was Tristan who was fast but a few crashes allowed John and Sandman to gap him a little bit but was still a strong performance to hold off the other guys for 3rd. For the remainder of the night for GT3 we decide to go back to a similar format as what we usually run and John withdrew so he could allow a 5 car final while he covered marshalling most of the track with Wazza in the A-Final. The race was really great with the drivers inparticular in the first half of the race being very courteous to each other to minimize the risks of a crash and it showed with myself and Wazza kept quiet for the first portion of the race but in the last 15 laps a few of the guys made errors trying to run at a blistering pace but to be fair was a pretty clean race still considering. In the end Steve was too good with the Slotfabrik absolutely carving the track up and never really looked too troubled. Sandman did his best with a car he is still developing so to grab a 2nd with it was a good job. And 3rd with his rocketship was Bruce who's car has some serious straight line speed. Please also too to any of our racers who is planning to race can you please nominate by the Thursday night before the racemeet byb clicking on going in the Facebook event that gets posted early in the week as i need to get 6 nominations for a racemeet to go ahead on on the Friday.
