Great racemeet last Friday night with 12 Drivers on hand for Rd2 of the Slotworx V8 Series and 1/32 Aussie Touring Cars. The night started off with the V8's and once again we saw a deadheat in qualifying with Mick n Shaz both getting identical times. The heats were excellent with some mega cool battles and super close finishes. The Finals were not too bad this round with some pitlane blunders costing driver transfers into the A-Final, but strategy is very important here in the finals. The A-Final started out brilliant but 8 laps in and Sandman has a wire break on his cars sensor which ended his race early. After the stops ans some early pacing from John he used it to his advantage by coming out in the lead with quite a large margin. But he was soon to realize he jumped the gun leaving pits leaving him 1 lap short of fuel to finish the race and was passed for the lead while pitting. That gave Ryan the win making it 2 wins in 2 rounds for him and John getting runner up again. Sean capitalized on some mistakes to get home on the podium in 3rd place. 2nd part of the night saw us break out the 1/32 Aussie Touring Cars for the first time this year and we are slowly starting to see this class develop into a very fun class as we get all the cars sorted. The Heats were awesome and the Finals were just as good. The A-Final saw Sandman and John jump out front but an accident later in the race caused Johns car to have a minor issue of some sort that rerquired a lap or 2 of repairs to sort it out. That allowed Sandman to run away with the win and Steve to get into 2nd Place and John hunted down Allan to take 3rd Place. Next Fortnight will see Aussie Touring Cars back on again and Lexan GT3 RD2 will be the 2nd part of the night
