Wow what a night! Some of the best racing i have witnessed here at NBS, thought we had an unbeatable A-Final last year but it just got topped by the most epic race in the V8's. Porsches were bloody mint too! First the night started with a epic V8 qualifying session where most of the field were in the 8.5 barrier and 0.1 of a second was the differnce between 3rd to 9th. The heats were mint aswell, then it started with a brilliant B-Final with the top 4 battling for 2 transfers for the whole race almost and Steve unlucky to miss out by 1 sec on 2nd place after 50 laps with Tristan taking the win and Bruce scraping into 2nd and the final Transfer. Mick was hardout in the battle too until tight front axle robbed him of fuel efficiency and caused him to have an extra fuel stop eliminating him from the transfer battle. Then the A-Final kicked off with a mega clean start and race to boot John led the field early on with the remaining 5 cars hot on his tail realzing about 10 laps in we were in for a mega race with Scotty driving out of his skin and was absolutely all over John, Ryan and Sandman like a rash and we could not shake him in what was an epic battle that went on for laps. In the end Ryan mowed down Sandmans lead with about 5 laps to go making the pass with John hot on his tail and then for John to crash on the final lap to allow Sandman past and than leave me in a drag race finish for 3rd with Scotty for us to collide when i came back off the 3rd lane, which then left us with whoever got there car back on first the one who would grab 3rd with John just winning that battle. So in the end Ryan got himself the win from Sandman and John 3rd. Bad luck to Scott who missjudged his final fuel stop in what was more than likely looking like his first A-Final win in Slotworx V8's but the one small mistake cost him badly but on the positive knows that he has a fast car and can take it to the front runners for next round. Was also good to see Tristan with a decent car setup finally and paid off to be only just 1 lap down at the pace that race was run at you sre going to be alot tougher to beat next round. And the return of Bruce in 2020 proved to be great with him straight back on the pace straight away. After 60 laps to have only 10 seconds from first to last was outstanding and 3rd and 4th would have only been a second or 2 off the leaders if it wasnt for the crash on the final lap. If you want to watch the race on the live feed it starts around 1h 33min into it and finishes around the 1h 42min mark were all the excitement at the end was.

Next up was Porsches and they put on a great show too and a some pretty cool heats and another brilliant A-Final with another multi car battle for the Transfers coming down to the wire. The A-Final again was another clean race with a hot pace, Ryan got some bad luck early and was down the back end of the field. While John jumped away with the lead early. Sandman who fitted a new motor earlier in the night seemed off pace in 2nd early but then his motor sprang to life puting him on pace with the fast guys. By lap 20 the Top 4 were all in a bunch but Sandman went on a different fuel strategy while others drained their tanks leaving everyone a bit uncertain where they were knowing that they were all in with a chance. Bruce was flying also and was in for a chance of a Top 2 finish but added a bit too much fuel on his final stop. And Steve did his best to keep with the hot pace in the race and did a fantastic job to be not too far off in the end. Once the race was completed Sandman came away with a well earned win from John who also probably took on a little too much fuel in his final stop but enjoyed the epic battle anyway. Ryan also did a fantastic job to claw his way back to 3rd from Bruce and Steve rounded out the field.

Bring on next round! Speaking of that though we will be skipping next fortnights racemeet as i have prior plans for that weekend. So we will resume racing in 1 months time for Round 3 of the Slotworx V8 Series and Rd 3 of the Muscle Car Series and then the following racemeet after that will be the Moby 900.
